I thought I was going home to paint — but really, I was painting my way home.”

What began as a short visit turned into five years of rediscovery.

While living in NYC, I traveled back to Colombia for what I thought would be a three-week painting trip. But once I started, I couldn’t stop. Surrounded by my roots, family, and the vibrant energy of home, I kept painting — doors, walls, anything that called for color.

Those works became Puertas Colombia — a continuation of my first collection (Puertas Atlanta), but deeper, rawer, and more connected to where I came from. Each piece carries traces of transition, identity, and emotion — everything I was processing between worlds.

These paintings traveled with me through exhibitions and events, connecting me with incredible people and experiences along the way. Looking back, they capture a moment of becoming — the years when I found my rhythm as an artist and learned to trust my own voice through color.
