Hi. I’m Laura, and LISO is how I exist out loud.

I’ve always been that kid—the one with the loudest notebooks, the wildest ideas, and hands always covered in paint or glue or glitter. Born in Colombia, I grew up surrounded by color, rhythm, flavor, and feeling. Life there isn’t beige—it’s music playing in the streets, people speaking with their hands, and homes filled with energy. That energy stuck with me.

Then came the big move to the U.S. in 2002. Suddenly I didn’t speak the language, didn’t get the culture, and felt like I landed on a different planet. Art class became my escape hatch. It didn’t matter that I couldn’t talk—my art did. It helped me process, survive, and eventually, it helped me shine.

LISO came from that journey. From needing to express everything I couldn’t say. From wanting to create things that didn’t fit into neat little boxes. From finally deciding I didn’t want to either. This brand is messy, vibrant, emotional, and full of movement—just like me.

And it’s not just about making cool stuff. It’s about daring to be seen. To wear color like a statement. To fill your space with joy. To let your true self take up space. LISOart is for the bold, the weird, the colorful souls who are done hiding.

Because for me, Art is Life—not just some artsy saying. It saved me once, and it keeps saving me every day. It's how I connect, how I heal, how I thrive. And if what I create can help even one other person feel more like themselves… then I’m doing something right.
